Hello everyone,
My name is Adam and Im new to the hobby and the state of ohio. I lived in arizona for the past 20+ years. I have had multiple fresh tanks and had to leave them all in arizona. I did bring with me an acrylic 29 gal that made the 5 day journey with only a canopy damage. I have always want a reef tank full of coral so here i am preparing for the plunge. My driving for is my 5 yr old son that goes with me to the giant aquariums for hours and watches the show tanked on animal planet. So here i am learning everything i can to take this wonderful journey to reef-hood and would like your guys help and take you guys along. I have been reading alot of forums so far and feeling confident enough to join. Thank you all for everything already.

Welcome and best of luck with your first tank... Read, take it slow and have fun! It's great getting a little one involved. There are a lot of great/knowledgable folks here.

Ask away and post your progress.. Oh and don't forget to post pics as you go.

Hi, welcome to R2R!!! Can't wait to see how your tank comes together!!! That is awesome that you are going to share the hobby with your son. I do the same thing with my nieces and nephews. :)

Welcome to R2R. I am new as well, so take any advice I give with a grain of salt.

The folks on here are awesome. Good luck!

thank you everybody im starting to get an idea what i want. trying to descide if i will start with my 29 gal and turn a 10 gal into a refug, or wait and go with the big boy and build a custom acrylic 220 with an 55 refug. i love dreaming. i want to try to build my own custom acrylic fish tank coffee table, have a few ideas already. what do you guys think

Welcome to R2R!! Coffee table idea sounds neat - do you have any plans? If I were you I would start with a 'normal' tank first to get the feel for it and give yourself plenty of time to design the table tank ..... try to keep the 'woulda, coulda, shoulda's' down to a minimum! I know there will be plenty of people here to help you out!

:clap2: Awesome!! Welcome to R2R!! Hope we can meet your reefing needs! ;)

Welcome to the most obsession-creating hobby. Great info here as well as equipment and animals for sale in the forum.
