I've been in the hobby for almost a year now with a 29 gallon tank! It's an adventure to say the least. At times it can be tough but seeing the outcome is totally worth it. I've recently been having some issues with my tank. At times it's hard to keep my nitrate level down and I believe an emerald and gorilla crab are eating my shrimp. I had also found my sail fin tang half gone. Today I will be purchasing a 125 gallon tank and will be looking for a lot of advice along the way. My plan is to slowly set it up and eventually have it up and running within 3 months. image.jpeg This is my tank right now. Some of my corrals and life rock is turning white. Is this due to to much light or may there be something wrong? I hope by going to a bigger tank I'll have a better filtration system and my corals will really start to grow! Thanks for any advice and help to all! Best of luck!

Welcome to R2R!

Nitrate problems are more than likely happening because lack of proper filtration. I see a hob filter, anything else? When you set up the 125 def invest in a sump

Question for anyone. Something has ate my sail fin tang, 6 shrimp and a gobby over the past few months. My clown fish, yellow tang and blue tang AKA Dory have not been touched from when I put them in. Any ideas? I'm just nervous when I switch to my bigger tank!
