Hmmmm. That doesn't sound like cyano then. Maybe a turf algae? What test kits are you using? Testing phosphate?

So I bought a phosphate test kit. My phosphate is .5. Is that my algae problem?

Very well could be. That's about 5 x what I aim for (0.06-0.10).
