New to saltwater /reefing

I have a 40 gal tank I have had for almost 3 weeks with some live and dry rock and I bought 2 snowflake clownfish Friday and they eat and all my tests are good and Temps are good but they are swimming very fast and I'm just making sure this is normal

Numbers please good is a relative term

The behavior you describe could be due to stress. Is the tank in a high traffic area? Are there enough hiding places? Does one fish appear to be chasing the other? Is there anything else in or around the tank that may be making them uncomfortable?

While clowns can swim in a erratic state, they are also affected by:
intimidation
lights too bright at introduction
High water flow
Seeing their own reflection on glass

Nothing in the tank but hermit crabs and rock and sand just don't want to mess up or hurt them lol

The bigger one seems to be chasing the smaller one but im not 100 percent sure that's what they are doing

Okay I'll try and turn my powerhead down some and see if that may help too thank you!

It was the same tank but it had alot of other clowns in the tank the 2 I have seemed to be following each other in the tank at the lfs and the male has been doing the shaking thing they're just swimming fast and across the glass not really exploring the tank or rocks
