New to saltwater tanks need advice

My tank has already done the cycling process then I got a clownfish and some cleaners in there, but now my tank is growing algae all over the glass constantly throughout the day. Is this common the tank is only around 2 months old.

Very common. Some tanks every two days.
If your tank is at or near a window, this activity will be more often.

Try Vibrant to reduce how often it needs cleaning, you will need to keep eye on nitrates cause you won't have excessive algae growth when it is high, made a big difference in my tank.

Welcome! Completely normal. Just clean the glass every couple of days like the rest of us.

What type of cleaning crew are you using? If you haven’t I’d recommend looking into utility fish. Blenny and Tangs are great fish to add depending on the tank size.

At two months old, you should be moving towards stability in the temp, salinity, nitrate and phosphate.
Do you have those numbers to share?

Cut down on you lighting until you get the Algae under control, meaning finding what is causing the problem.. Yes I know it is Nitrates and Phosphates, but why are they high....Most likely over feeding. Also fish do not need light, corals if you have any do, but fish no. Turn off the lights when not in use, meaning if you are not home, or watching them.

All part of the learning curve, plus the Ugliness of a new tank, you might have a few other issues to tend to, but all part of the course.

BTW, welcome to the mad house...
