New to saltwater

Hello, I'm. Ew to the hobby I'm currently converting my fluval flex 15 into saltwater and am open to any suggestions I did purchase an in tank media basket for compartment 1 and believe I should have gotten the one for chanmer 2 so I can use a protein skimmer any advise and suggestions are welcome thank you in advance I also have the fluval sea tight coming tomorrow and am curious about modifications to the stock hood
