Hey guys!. So i decided to buy a 32g biocube for my family and myself. i would like your guys input on what necessities i should get for it. i want to get a wave maker as well as some extra filtering for it. the back only came with a top filter and nothing on the lower tiers. i heard get a skimmer and then heard i dont need one for the smaller tank. right now we just have 2 clowns and nothing else. maybe beginner coral down the road. also if anyone has this tank, what timing schedule do yall have?

The lights it came with are for fish only. Everything else will depend on how deep down the rabbit hole you want to go. (Budget)
For now keep up on topping the tank off and your water changes. If you don't have an RODI unit that'll be step 1. After another week or 2 get an assortment of snails and hermits and a cleaner shrimp. Nothing crazy as your tank isn't established yet. About half of what reefcleaners.org recommends. Lighting and a skimmer can wait a month or 3. Get used to keeping parameters in order and good water quality. With smaller tanks parameter swings are more pronounced. Once you're comfortable with all of that, you should be about ready to put some easy corals in and upgrade your lighting and flow.

Such shiny white rock!! Welcome to the fishy family!
I'm with @Jekyl, I'd go for cleaning crew. I'm a big fan of dwarf cerith snails. They get places other snails can't.

Forgive me for stating the obvious but test kits. Get something that is not API. I like NYOS for nitrates personally. I use the NYOS kits for Alk, Cal, and Nitrate.

You may also consider an ATO if you don't want to top off every day.

If you jump into corals, then we can talk lighting.

For now... baby steps. Enjoy!!
