Hello! Welcome to the awesome forum of Reef2Reef, a place where you can get lost for hours of information from people just like yourself in the hobby and possibly be able to seek out answers for yourself and your own tank!

If you have a chance and are interested in maybe watching another YouTube reefer, I got my channel going and have a little over 10 videos and I am really enjoying it! Good for anyone from brand new reefer to the experienced hobbyist! Hope you get a chance to check it out and give me some feedback!

Welcome again to Reef2Reef!

hi welcome to the reef going to love it here!!
lots of fun/info/fun/help/fun....

Welcome!!! i ran a 55g reef for many years, way back in the days, with great success using T5 lighting, with the advancements in LED lighting i don't think you'd have any issues using your 55 for this project, especially if stars are your main concern.

best of luck to you and your students!!

Welcome to R2R! You've joined a great community with lots of friendly folks that are willing to help.

Good luck with your classroom tank! Your students will love it!

Welcome! 55g tanks are the most popular tank size by a long shot and if you already have it makes it a great choice. I've always dug the 65 which has a lot of bang for the space it takes up. If you have one available it might give you flexibility with aquascape and such.

Welcome Aboard R2R brother at least you don’t have to worry about bullies in the school awesome bunch of people great great advice and help with the common goal of helping you succeed in reefing
