Hi everyone,
I am a newbie to this forum and am excited about joining. I have had my reef tank for about 6 years now. It is a 34g solana and has been a great fish tank. I started off running a metal halide with actinic lights which I converted to a kessil A360W a little over a year ago. I am running a Single BRS reactor with carbon and gfo as well as 2 BRS 1.1ml dosing pumps. Off of those I dose calcium and magnesium. For flow I added 2, 240gph korelias. What has been one the reasons for success is the apex module with an extra 4 channel energy bar. I monitor only temperature and pH for now. I attribute much of my success to that thing due to the automation and ease of use. I love being able to control everything in my tank from my phone!
In my tank I have only one yellow tail damsel. I have always had trouble keeping my fish happy but have always had success keeping corals. Currently I keep a bunch of mushrooms, brain coral, flowerpot, war coral, large overgrown chalice, candy cane, galaxy and a frog spawn frag. I would like to make a zoa farm on one side of my tank and am looking to add some acans as well.
Some other future plans are to add the apex auto feeder, the apex dos pumps for daily water changes or reef energy part a and b from red sea. I would also like to get a bit more techy with the apex par meter as well as leak detector and salinity meter.
Cant wait to hear your comments!
