New to slatwater. Nees help algea problem.

My tank has been up for 4 months,and the algea is getting out of control,on the rocks is green im guessing is hair algea. Some algea is on some rocks and on the glass.
I'm using Al prime hd for light 10 hours.
I feed once a day amd sometimes skip a day,i stop feeding frozen food for the same reason and i make sure i don't over feed.
My tank is IMnuvo 20 gallon.
I started with live rock.
Last time i checked my phos was at .02 and nitrates between 10ppm
I added Chemipure elite nano and don't seem to be workong,made my protein skimmer go crazy.
My duncan coral died and so did my hammer coral.
Algea is covering my zooathinds rock.
I really don't know what to Do,i feel like giving up.

Forgot to add i have some white and green algea.

Snaills and conch can help remove the algae but this is the workaround.
Clogged filter sock can raise nitrate.

By chance, is tank at or near a window ?
Have your TDS checked for your water.

1.)I use RO water. TDS meter shows 0 i check it before and after.
2.)Where i have my tank it does not get direct sunlight,theirs a 3 story next to me and it always blocks the sun.
3.)I think i have enough water surface on top amd bottom,im also using MP10.
4.)Is the new IM Nuvo protein skimmer. That fits in the back chamber.
5.) Din't do 2 week water change because i was using reef flux,but i did do a 6 gallon water change,i've been doing 5 gallon water change since then.
6.)No dents on back chamber.
7.)I have Yellow watchman,2 pistols shrimp(one came with the live rock,i thought it died so went out and got another one). 2 clownfishes,Panamic barnale blenny. I have some zooathinds which are getting cover by algea. Acan coral which seems to be doing okay,green hammer wall which is mostly dying is turning black,duncan coral which din't make it is dead for good. Also have gsp coral which seems to be doing while.
8.) Im using poly filter floss.

Im using RO water 0 tds.
Is near a sun,but no sun gets in. I also have sun screens.

Do NOT use that cheap crap from walmart...it wont work and it's only like 2%. Get yourself a 1ml syringe. Get a small container. In the small container put 3ml of 12% HP for every 10 gallons of water that your reef tank holds. I have a 90 gallon tank so I used 27 ml. Next shut off your skimmer and all pumps. Then take your syringe and suck up 1ml at a time and start injecting the hp DIRECTLY into the algae. Get as much algae as you can but you might not get it all so you will repeat all this a week later. Immediately that HP will start killing the green hair algae. Wait about 45 min or so then turn everything back on. For me it took a total of 3 times dosing or 3 weeks and with no other work involved I had a pristine thriving hair algae free reef again after a month of the first dose. Do not just pour the hp in your tank...that will not work and why the hp method fails for some. They buy the cheap grocery store stuff and they dont inject it. The method I described will work 100% of the time. You wont lose coral or fish or inverts. Once all the algae is gone do a 50% water change and your good to go. "

This does work as long as you follow the instructions. When the green hair starts to turn white use a syphon hose and suck it all out or it will release the nutrients it had stored up.

You will need to get in there and manually remove what you can. Once the die off starts the cycle will continue as its just gonna pump all those nutrients back into the tank. I'd remove what rock work you can and scrub it down. When I ran a biocube, i had a bad outbreak like yours. I had to pull the rock work, scrub and then do 50% weekly water changes to solve the problem.

I doubt phosphate is 0.02, it’s likely just reading what’s left after the GHA on the rocks consumes phosphates.
I’d do the following
1. Shorten your light period to 7 hours.
2. Reduce intensity by half.
3. Pull and remove as much as possible.
4. Use a toothbrush to scrub rocks.
5. Do 3 water changes, one each day.
6. Start dosing Vibrant.
7. Bunch of Astrea Snails.

Check each parameter level to ensure its stable and in the range.

Does it look like algea or bacteria bloom? I will be doing that tomorrow when i do water change.

I reduce intensity of lights,but i will reduce them.more. Tomorrow ill will be doing a water change and 2 more afte that.
I would have to read more about vibrant. Is it safe?
