New to sumps/refugiums and need help please

Hi ya'll, was finally able to get a couple sump/refugium. Says it's a eshoppe, guy I got it from says it's a 40 gallon? will have to still get all parts for it though. My question/help I need is I'm totally lost when it comes to these things. I am going to use it on a 65 gallon reef tank if that helps at all. I guess I don't understand the plumbing part of it? I don't know anyone around me that does aquariums and the lfs's that are around here are not exactly helpful. I'm a little lost. We also have a 25 gallon one as well for the large seahorse tank 48 gallon, but again, I'm dumb when it comes to the whole plumbing part. If anyone can point me to a video or anything to help walk me through it that would be amazing. Thank you in advance.

Thank you that really helped a lot! One of my tanks has an internal overflow, the other does not. A lot of work ahead!
