Hello everyone,
I'm new to the salt water, I have 2 friends that are experienced in the SWA world. I am looking to learn as much as possible so I don't end up spending a butt load of money because I keep killing or screwing up my SWA or by buying a lot of useless equipment. I am in the Grand Rapids. MI area and I would like to get to know more people with similar interests.

I have a day job of Fleet Maintenance Mechanic, didn't win the powerball so off to work I go because of everybody I owe... I have 5 awesome kids a grandson and a wonderful wife who puts up with a lot of my shenanigans...

Thanks for adding me to the group.
Joe

Welcome! Glad to have you! Do you have a setup yet?
I have not received it yet, but I did a bathroom remodel for a friend who does SWA... part of a payment. I get a tank and everything needed to operate it minus the salt and the critters.... It is a 65 gallon acrylic tank

Joe, that was a nice intro.
Lots to take care of and with this hobby you'll connect your family especially your grand kids.
What you had in mind as the size of setup if may ask?

Thanks for your Service too Good Sir, OORAH!!

Thank you,
I am getting a 65 gallon Acrylic tank comes with all the items needed to run a tank minus the salt and the critters..... Both my friends have said they will be assisting me in basic knowledge and extra equipment they might have... I don't know too much about Marine fish, I did watch "Finding Nemo" and I liked all of those fish so it shouldn't be too hard to figure it all out. I just know that deep down I was suckered into a hobby that will consume my time and money without prejudice...lol

Hello Joe! You're going to spend a buttload of money even if you do everything perfectly the first time out. ;) The saying "Buy Right or Buy Twice" definitely applies in this hobby. But that's part of the fun, right? Welcome sir!
