New to taking my tank seriously.

New to forums but every question I've typed in Google about reefing has had answers from R2R so I figured I'd sign up. I got into reefing about 5 years ago, and as being new bought everything I thought was cool and jammed into my tank. From corals, fish, eels, and crabs etc... I have never been able to keep corals alive and I admit lazy when it came to water changes or maintenance in general. I recently broke down my 200g tank to start over. New reefsaver rock on a bare bottom covered with abs sheet. I really want to keep and grow sps.

I like to make tank rework threads where it takes full on surgery/dredging/debriding/rasping
to bring tanks back into enjoyment phase.

In all the years I've arrived at one thing: owning an invaded reef tank is a condition of psychology and not biology

The invader itself is fully an issue of biology, but to house it longer than two hours, on the first date of seeing it in the tank, is a matter of will

Those who are good at biology have to work less to force the clean condition on their tank, but in the end we're either going to be clean or invaded and literally anyone can opt out of being invaded if they choose to. It seems you've began your new build with resolve and specific designs that are opposite of how invaded reef tanks present in large threads. Yep I guess you'll win.
