Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen!

I am new to the site, I have been a member on LivingReefs.com for a few months and wanted to branch out and meet some new people!

I have a 20 gallon long tank, with a Clownfish and blue/yellow tail damsel fish. Two Peppermint Shrimp, Several Turbo Snails and hermit crabs, and an emerald crab. I also have a frag of mushrooms I just put in about a week ago as well as an anemone.

Everything seems to be thriving. I did not want to put the anemone in the tank but my wife grabbed one for less then $10 at Petco and put it in the tank while I was gone. We have had a "nice" discussion about not doing that again but I have left it in there and it SEEMS to be doing alright. I'll let you guys be the judge from the picture if you can make it out decent enough. It open and closes throughout the day, in the picture it is beginning to close up but about an hour or two later it was open and just waving along. So please give me some assistance in this matter, next time it is open I will snap a picture and show you guys but right now I am at work.

Also, I just recently bought a FluVal Marine & Reef 25,000K LED strip from Petco, has anyone had any experience with these lights or know someone that has? The lighting thing is still kind of foreign to me and I just would like to be on the right "track". I'm sure you guys can understand that.

There also seems to be something growing on the rock in the last picture, can anyone help identify what it is and if it is safe for my tank?

But anywho, I'll be upgrading to a 29 gallon tank here in the next few weeks and I am excited for the build.

So.....with all of that being said. Hello :)

Hello and welcome,
Looks like your off to a good start. I believe what's growing on your rock is either feather dusters, or tube worms.
