Hi,
Thank you for the warm welcome.
I have had saltwater tanks of different varieties since about 1995 but didn't make a commitment
to reefing til about 6 years ago.
My first reef was 20 gallon long with basic equipment and at the time I was always working and did not have the time to care for it properly.
My wife and I went on vacation and while we were gone our house lost electricity (out for 5 days)
Needless to say our tank died a messy and horrible death.
My wife had named everybody in the tank and took the loss hard.
I had gotten the bug to do it again but we decided not to do it until I had more time for it and we could afford proper equipment. A wise decision.

This brings me up to my 2 tanks.

My first one is a 37 gallon tall setup that I started about 3 years ago.
The equipment:
37 gallon old style tank with rim.
40 pounds of live sand
35 pounds of live rock
Penn Plax 1000 265 gph
Eshopps psk-75h Skimmer 357 gph
2 Koralia power heads 850 gph
1 cpr aquafuge 2 HOB refugium 152 gph
2 custom modified nanobox mini tide plus m
eggcrate tank top
The livestock:
1 Clown fish
1 sunrise dottyback
1 coral banded shrimp
1 blue tuxedo urchin
1 sad sifting star
2 zoa colonies
1 leather
1 candy cane lps
7 nassarious snails
6 turbo snails

My new build: 2 weeks ago (still cycling)
13.5 fluval evo
all stock equipment so far
1 koralia 240 gph
20 pounds live sand
15 pounds of live rock

I am pleased to say how much this hobby brings from the technical aspect to the joy and peace
from observing my two communities grow.

Definitely share some pictures of your new build. We would love to follow along your journey.
