New to the forum

Hello from Wilmington NC. I finally got around to signing up. New to reef2reef, but not reef keeping. My son was born last night and is out getting a bath. So I decided I'd take a minute and introduce my self.

I just got done with a 117g custom build. My wife and I have been keeping aquariums for almost 18 years. Some of you may know me from other forums. I've only got a minute until my son gets back to the room. Here's a few pics of the new setup.

Congrats to you on your new son! Wilmington is my home town. I spent 41 years there and had a house down in the Monkey Junction area. Very nice looking setup also.

Thank you T. I've been in Wilmington since 96. My wife is born and raised here, which means I'm stuck here. Lol

I've went with LEDs on this build. I'm going to take 30days to fully acclimate. Here's a few pics. FYI: I love LEDs, I was very nervous about switching from my halides. But I'm getting crazy colors, polyp extension already. I love pics, so here's a few more. Adding "fist full of dollars chalice" colony, pistol shrimp and red stripe goby tonight.

Thank you. I've heard nothing but great things about this forum. And I know Joe from joeknowsreefs, great guy. If he says this is the place to be, then I'm here. I'll have better pics of all the corals after everything settles down. It's only been up for a week. I just finished the build.

He really is. I've talked to him and have ordered from him several times. Too notch, pays attention to detail. Awesome packing, and follows up. His customer service is beyond amazing. I got one order from him that the freebies were nicer than what I ordered. Lol. I never have second thoughts ordering from him. Wait I take that back, I'll order, then two days later he'll have new corals I'll have to have. I've started waiting a couple of extra days before I place my orders. Rotfl

Thank you Mike and Terry. We've got him home, and he's doing great. I love kids so much. I've got a 2.5yr old little girl to. They are my life.

Thank you, I spent about a month on the stand. It was a shell without doors when I got it. I trimmed it out, built doors and stained it. It's a 1 of a kind. I don't think I'll ever get rid of this setup, or at least not the stand. Lol
