I'm fairly new to saltwater tanks, still soaking up as much as I can. Currently for salt I have a 55 gallon acrylic tank with the sump built in. I hate the fact of the overflow/sump/return chamber all in the same tank.

Well I'll post a few pics of my first corals and stuff.

36" coralife t5 10,000k and actinic

Read sea prism hob skimmer

Horrible canister filter.

I have a lot of issues with the tank I'm sure I'll eventually be using these forums as guidance for those issues as well.

I'm not sure about the placement of my GSP and brain coral. Any tips would be awesome!

GSP you can basically place anywhere where there is flow. The Brains are usually placed on the bottom, depedning on the light.

Welcome and start looking at sump and in sump skimmer will be best move yo make

I've been trying but this tank has an in-tank sump. It's located at the back of the tank. I might end up just having to get a drilled tank and call it a day.

looks like a tru view aqua sys. if it is i have the same tank only 180 gal i drilled and modufied mine to not use the back sys

on mine it had two overflows i just drilled through bottom and installed bulkheads to run a herbie overflow then in center area drilled two more to run returns used the back area to hide plumbing
