New to the hobby and site!

Hi, I am new to the site and the saltwater hobby! I am looking to set up a saltwater tank in the near future I have read some books but I just want to get feedback and the ins and outs. Any info you suggest I should read? Good place to start any info would help. I work at pet store but we only sell fresh water I have had a fresh water tank for over. 4 years and its doing great I just wanted to step up to a 75 gallon or larger for salt water just looking for any info I can get I'm new to slat water but have had fresh water and do work at a store with them so my knowledge is good but I just need more for saltwater. Thank you!!! I would like to do something that is good for a starter like my self. Is it easier to start with fish without reef or live coral? Or is it easier to start with both? All info is appreciated. Thanks again

It is probably easier to start with fish. Maybe a 20 Gallon tank. Later if you want to move up, you can use it for an acclimation tank or a frag tank. You need to learn the basic process of mixing your salt and testing your water parameters.
Read everything you can get your hands on!!! Even the most seasoned reefer's are always learning more.

I do have a 30 gallon long, and also have a 26 bow front what would be better to start with and how many fish am I able to have In that small of an environment and what would be an ideal setup? I have been reading a lot and looking around on the google machine but I like to hear from first hand expierence.. Let me know thanks again

I would start with a fish only with live rock setup. You can learn about the different water parameters without risking any coral. I had this setup for almost three years before I started with coral. I'm glad I did it that way, because the tank was stable and I was comfortable with the water testing, maintenance etc. good luck!
