Hello all.
Wanted to say this is a great forum. I've read a lot on here already. I wanted to see if there is anyone in the Denver Metro area (I live in Brighton) that might be willing to donate some time when I move my fish.
Back story, my Grandfather-in-law passed and I inherited his saltwater setup and fish. He was running a 55gal with sunsun 3 stage canister filter. He has two pieces of live rock in the tank, and several fish.
I have purchased a 75gal tank, two wave-makers, thermometer, and a HOB refugium/protein skimmer so far. I plan to move the fish (currently in the 55gal at Grandma's house) to the new tank after I can cycle it for 4 weeks. That will put me at August.
I will add more live rock (purchasing 30lbs of dry rock soon) and a good "clean up crew" of crabs and snails. (Hopefully a goby and mandarin blenny.) I realize two fish won't make much of a difference in a 75 gallon tank, but it won't hurt either. I'd like to breed/grow some copepods and amphipods in the small refuguim to help feed the fish, that would be a nice bonus.
I'm really stressed out about moving the fish to their new home. I wanted to see if there are any experienced, and generous people in Denver/Brighton that might be willing to assist me.
