Hi im New to the hobby, I've just ordered my coralife biocube 29g, I would like to have everything else I need to get it up and running by the time it gets here, can I get some advice on what all I need to get this tank going, any necessary upgrades for it? Any advice would be much appreciated, I'm very new but excited to have my first salt water tank!

I have never had a biocube so I can't tell ya what works best. I do know that if anybody is going to recomend something for you, they will want to know what kind of livestock you want to keep. Corals? what kinds? Fish only? what kinds of fish? This will help other biocube owners help you.

Biggest problem with a biocube can be the high Temps due to the stock lighting (compact fluorescent) and closed top.
Some modifications out there for to help with this.
Upgrading stock fans is an option
Retrofitting leds is another.
Have also seen a mod where the person used eggcrate and a couple extra fans. The eggcrate was cut down to fit above the back compartment and computer fans attached to it, so it was easily removable for maintenance but also out of sight most of the time. I would setup a auto topoff if you do that.
For fowlr you just need rocks, sand, heater. Extra flow from a powerhead would be a good idea.
The koralia powerheads would be a fine inexpensive option.
If you decide on keeping corals, I would look at upgrading the lights esp if you want spa.
Some people will use a media rack in the second compartment to hold things like carbon or purigen.
