Hi, I've been owning aquariums for 6 years now, but never attempted a salt water aquarium. In two months I will most likely be getting my first salt water tank, and I'm excited to start planning. I was thinking about a 100 gallon tank, or a 125. I look forward to looking through the forums.

Welcome to R2R!

You do from the other Site you were on, and not getting many answers.
I remember! I still have tons of questions, too. GlassCages said they could ship to Atlanta for 84 dollars which means total tank and shipping would be 550ish. I have no idea where to go from here.

550 is a fantastic number for a shipped tank!!! What do you think about that $$. You able to do that one? Have you looked on Craiglist at all? Or local for sale online threads?

I think it is super cheap considering craiglist has tanks reef ready smaller than that for 1000 dollars. The only thing to do is convince my father, an place the order with them.
After I place the order, what should I start looking for/at next?

We may drive over to Atlanta this sunday to go check out the saltwater aquarium store over there. Should I talk to someone about my future tank while I'm there?

Next would be, skimmer, powerheads for water movement, lighting, T5 or LEDs, a heater, 300-500watts, and a refractometer.
Reef master water test kit, ro/di set up, and salt mix, I believe your good to go.
But, most would run a GFO or Lanthanum product for phoaphates.

I probably sound really stupid, but could you help me with the refractometer, ro/di set up, the difference between T5 and LEDs, and the difference between reef salt mix and regular salt water mix?
