Good morning! I am new to the hobby and stumbled upon reef2reef's forum while searching for some information on our cleaner shrimp. We have a 29 gallon setup for about 2 months now. We are in the process of building a 10 gallon sump. Currently in the tank are:

20 pounds live rock
1 1/2 inches live sand
4 blue leg hermits
1 red leg hermit
1 true percula clownfish
1 scarlet skunk cleaner shrimp

Corals:
Elephant skin
Blue moonstone
Green star polyp
2 varieties of zoanthids
3 varieties of favias (I think)

Hitchhiker's include:
Tons of amphipods & copepods
2 stomatella snails
1 bristle worm

Lastly, about a month ago we found a huge cloud of eggs float up from some live rock. We didn't know what it was and they were pushed around the tank and sucked into the filter anyways. So last week we did a water change and moved a bunch of stuff around and discover a tiny little creature with a tail and large red coloring on its back swimming around the tank. It looks like a baby cleaner shrimp. Any suggestions on what it is??

If it was an eight of an inch or smaller it was probably a pod.
We have a ton of copepods and amphipods. It's much bigger than those and is mostly red. It only seems to come out every 3-4 days in the am when I feed the true percula and cleaner shrimp the frozen brine.

Welcome to R2R hope you enjoy it here and if it's a cleaner shrimp baby that'd be pretty cool.
Thanks. If it survives and is indeed a cleaner shrimp then I will definitely update the post.

Welcome I'm running a similar setup nice to see! Can't wait to see what new creature ya got!
Well its definitely a cleaner shrimp. It's gotten longer since I first posted and it is out everyday now. I was able to get a good look at it. It's super cute. I'm praying it survives because our true percula clownfish keeps going after it, at least seems to be. The true percula is eating the copepods off the glass so I'm sure he would eat the little cleaner shrimp since it's not very much bigger.
