Okay. For what you have right now, 10 dKh alk is probably a little high. I would shoot for more like 7.5 to 8. Are you checking specific gravity of your saltwater before you add it to the tank. Do you have a refractometer or a hydrometer?

Yes, I have a refractometer. My specific gravity is 1.024. It has been the most consistent of all my measurements.

That is really weird. The only thing I can think of is your salt. Either that, or your refractometer needs to be calibrated. If your salt has high alk and calc, water changes won't help. I try to maintain 1.026 sg, 8.3-8.6 dkh alk, and 440-460 calk.

Welcome aboard and thanks for the pics. Sounds like you're on the right track. hat lighting system do you use, please?
I use the lights that came with the biocube, the LFS guy said they were great for a reef tank. I have my lights set to overlap, so my moon lights come on, then my sunrise, then full lighting with my blue lights, then to sunset and to moon set. I am trying to get the most out of my lights. My corals seem to be doing well, I have had my zoanthids a little over a week and have 4 new polyps already! Thank you!

Thank you for all your help! I appreciate it!!

Hey @Fish7

Be sure to use .35 solution to calibrate your refractometer.

And... Depending on what you want, the Red Sea Blue Bucket might be a good pick.
