Hey guys and gals :)

I'm new to this so looking to pick up a ton of tips and advice from you guys, I've had fish before but never salt water and I just love the idea of getting into the swing of it, thanks in advance

Tom :)

Hi Redderz,

Welcome to the saltwater side of the hobby. I found that finding some saltwater or reef aquarium keeping books were helpful for me when I got in the hobby, as are the great reef forums such as Reef2Reef.

Good reefing, and good luck with your future tanks!

Hi Tom! Welcome to R2R, and the hobby! Make sure you ask any and all questions you have! Everyone around here has been there, and loves to help those who are new to the hobby!! We love following new builds, so make sure you start a build thread when you start on your new reef!! Good luck, and have fun! :D

Welcome!! I'm new to the saltwater thing too! Everyone here has been very helpful and patient with all my questions so utilize their knowledge (I certainly do)! I would have been flying blind setting up my tank without their help/advice! Enjoy!!

Hi Tom and welcome to R2R! :welcome:

If you haven't already read it, I would highly recommend Bob Fenner's book The Conscientious Marine Aquarist: A Commonsense Handbook for Successful Saltwater Hobbyist.

Thank you for the kind welcome guys, have you got any advice on size of tank I should get? and thank you Terry will give it a read!

:bounce:Welcome to R2R Tom!! As for you tank size, the bigger you go the more stable your water parameters will be. I am all for reading books but, I also like to watch videos. So if your new to the hobby I might check out Mr. Saltwater tank on youtube for some good advice and as alway bounce your questions off of us here on Reef2Reef. Have fun!!

Welcome to R2R. This hobby has many things to enjoy. The more you research the better off you will be. Good luck on your tank when you get it.
