Hi all I am new to the salt water world and just dipped my toes in the water over the past few years by doing a lot of research on both fish and corals as well as equipment and how to's.

It all started with turtles. My sister in law wanted to get rid of her turtles and I took them. shortly after that I got and set up a 29 gallon fresh water tank. I then had to upgrade the turtles tank from a 50 gallon to a 120 gallon because I did not do any research on the turtles and did not know how big they will get... Needless to say I am not going to be able to care for them much longer so that tank is going to be shut down cleaned and transformed into a reef tank and the process starts here.

Of course any advise would be completely awesome and appreciated.

So I was just thinking about the plumbing for this build and I have the concept of the overflow down but trying to draw up an idea on how I wanted to plumb the return I am drawing a couple questions...

I know I want to use the vectra m1 for the pump and I was thinking of doing a dual return off of a manifold. I'm not sure if I should go past the furthest return with the manifold or is it better to end it there?

Second question is Should I go over the rim of the tank for the return or should I drill them?
