Hello my name is Juan and I’m new to the whole salt water world, I’m learning from scratch and have nobody near me that knows about keeping a salt water tank so I’ll probably be here asking a lot of dumb questions but hopefully eventually I can get the hang of things.

Just purchased a Red Sea Max Nano G2 XL I’ve had it for a few days and just added my first 2 fish today (clown fish) I’m excited to begin adding corals, so many options to choose from and so much to learn about them.

Thank you

JP

Welcome JP- you're good. You're here to learn. Asking questions is what makes us successful.

Nice tank. Make sure keep an eye on that cycle and don't add corals or other livestock until you're done with it. Your tank wont stabilize for at least 5-6 months, so get ready for a ride until it starts to get easier. Thats when the uglies tend to end and the beautiful coralline starts popping up like chicken pox.

Easy corals- Zoas! Leathers, mushrooms. I'd say start there. Remember to get the right test kits for coral- KH, Ca, No3, and PO4
