Welcome to R2R and the salty world Carl. Lots of knowledgable and helpful people here who will support and advise you when needed. Chemicals can have a place in reefing but most of it is about creating an eco system that is as close to natural as possible. That’s why it’s best to take things slowly and let a tank grow it’s own good bacteria and test the balance. There are useful interventions that can take place to change things when out of balance. This can be as simple as doing water changes. It’s all part of the learning curve.

Welcome to R2R, congratulations on your new tank!! I know it’s hard, we’ve all been there but patience and lots of research really is the best :)

Welcome to R2R! I agree with others on patience. It's frustrating (and really boring) to stare at a tank full of water, rock, and sand for a few months, but once the tank goes through the ugly stages, it will be ready for the good stuff! ;Joyful

thanks for the messages ..I have been told aqua forest product would go well with my tank does any one use these products ... or can any one recommend
