New to this and need help!!

Hey Guys and Gals,
Okay, I’m new to this, just bought my first tank 2 days ago. I bought a used Red Sea 170 Reefer. I bought a “complete” set up with an upgraded sump (18 gal). I’ve been working with a guy from work who has a 180 gallon tank trying to make sure I have everything thing I needed. Long story short I think I was shafted on the pump, he gave me one but my buddy says he’s not familiar with it or the brand. Flo tech is the brand of pump he gave me. It has and in and out hookup… He also thinks there’s supposed to be a pump in the skimmer on the back of the tank…however said he was sure with the Red Sea set up. I’m going to post some pics of what I ah e and maybe someone can tell me if I have everything or what else I will need. Thanks in advance!!!

Since you're running it with the external configuration, you'll probably want a skimmer in the sump (the Red Sea one in the back isn't the greatest anyway - but yes, it does have a pump).

These tanks don't come with a return pump so you can pick one out. All the pieces looks to be there except the ato reservoir

Is this what you’re referring to as the reservoir? Sorry I’m really new to this..
