I started my first saltwater aquarium about a month ago. It's a 75g(4'×18") with 20g sump. I've had it cycling with live rock and all my water parameters seem to be in check so far. 2 things I need some help on is a protein skimmer and lighting. I plan on doing corals but don't know what kind exactly yet. Fish I like are angel tang hawkfish file clown and a few others. I really like some of the led lights I've seen since you can adjust a lot of colors. Are led lights good for what I want to do, and what kind do I need, and how many, and do they make lights with like red blue and green to adjust colors to make things pop. And suggestions on a protein skimmer. Thanks

Hello and welcome... You should considering posting a thread on the "Equipment, Lighting, Hardware, Aquarium Filtration" forum I'm sure you'll get some great recommendations there.

I personally like reef octopus skimmers, and am leaning to lifereef now... You'll want to do a little homework and see what best fits your tank budget.

I see you also asked about lighting, we all have own views on lighting, but I like AI the best, not the cheapest but very reliable. I have a set of gen1 ecotech radions and they've not disappointed either. I have seen and read good things about other LED systems... suggest you do a search and you'll find a lot of good info on any number of lights with pro's and con's on all of them, in the end it's boils down to what you're most comfortable with.
