Hi,

I have been working on setting up 10 gallons and the 50 gallons cube ( with sump ), and I am planning to start getting couple fishes soon. I read the two tanks quarantine method in this forum. It's great however just wondering if I can use the 10 gallon tank , go through the first phase quarantine with copper at 2.0ppm, and the medicated food for 14 days, then do a large water change ( 85% ), and then go through the second phase with API General Care for external treatment.

I guess the bad part of this method is that even with the water change, I would still have copper and other things in the entire system?

Should I start with really investing 3 tanks?

You can keep them in 1 tank, but you will need to run copper 30 days, instead of transferring after 14 days.
