hi all very new at this decided to change from tropical to marine fish tank have huge quandary I have been successful in bidding for some live rock on eBay which is available to collect this Monday 2nd May problem is I won't be getting my RO water won't be ready to collect until Wednesday 4th May in the afternoon do I just keep the live rock in the bucket I'm collecting it in until Wednesday if so do I need to keep it heated ? Much needed solid advice required please

You can keep it in a bucket, so long as you provide some circulation. Heater would be best, but not absolutely required so long as the temp doesn't dip too low.

I used to wrap the live rock in paper towel and store the live rock in a cooler when I would move to a new city. I would moisten the paper towel when packing the live rock in a cooler. The rock would sit on a moving truck for a week with out issues.:)

Really for a couple days, either option would probably be okay, although I prefer to keep mine in salt water with a little movement. You can always get a larger container (like the cooler mentioned above) and bu some salt water from an LFS to store it in until you get yoru setup ready to go. If you have a powerhead you can throw in there, even better. If the temp won't be too low, the heater may not be needed. Here in Phoenix I have the opposite problem (keeping it cool enough)

Is the live rock cured and dry like some you would buy from BRS? If that's the case, it's fine until your ready to go through the process of getting it ready, if its wet and in water, and most likely covered in hitchhikers such as star fish and such, you'll need to keep it in a container such as a tub with the right salt level and circulation.
