New to using a Ro/Di system and looking for advice

I have had my tank for 3 years now and would either buy salt water or Ro/di water from my lfs. I recently decided to purchase a system to make my own . I got everything and setup this morning and filling up my jugs that I would normal take to the store . My question is I have not mounted inside as of yet have to do some rearranging. Should I drain the water out of the system or leave water in it ?

^^What he said. Also, you need to run it weekly and flush it before and after every use. If you do not run it weekly, you will ruin the DI quickly.

Flush for one, run for 20-30, flush again for one. Unless you are making water. Then 1 minute before, 30-45 seconds every 2-3 hours, and 1 minute after.

Also get a float valve to auto shut off when your container is full. You don’t want any floods.
