Hi gang

I bought this 2 head torch on Sunday, placed it next to my other torch frag as that's done OK there.

Yesterday one of the heads wasn't opening like the other & thus morning it looks like it's bailing/ripped.

They are quite close to my MP10 but with the other frag there I didn't see an issue. Bottom pic was taken before the frag was in but its just above my other torch.

I've now moved it on to the sandbed in the middle of the tank so it's not getting blasted by the powerhead.

When I moved it I got a fair amount of neon bits come off & float around the tank. Since moving the good head has opened up fine but the damaged one is just hanging on/receded.

Think this will survive?

More than likely too much flow
Placement, light and flow is critical with torch
Too much flow to point polyps are bent over will remove them from base
You want them swaying in current
They need light for zooxanthellae and too much white intensity will upset them

I've moved it to a place it won't get direct flow. The normal head is fine & swaying away. No improvement on the damaged one

I found with my torches as well the larger one kept the smaller one tucked in all the time, since I kept them close together initially. Once I separated them they were both flowing great and open fully. I will keep an eye on this and hope your torch recovers.

So the 2nd head has completely come away now. No idea where it is
