So I placed a green torch in my tank on sunday. Placed mid level in tank fairly high flow but not directly on it. Just didn't wanna open. There are a few spots on it that kinda worry me. Please take a look a pictures and let me know what you think. Thanks!

Try lower flow. You're seeing the skeletal structure below the tissue. It may be a prelude to tissue recession, or just too high of flow. They do not need a ton of flow, just enough to make the tentacles wave back and forth.

What is your no3 and po4?
I do believe it is your water chemistry

Do dip or not to, I am not sure. An already stressed Euphyllia it's very debatable if a dip at this point would be advantageous. I do not signs of Brown Jelly Disease, so dipping is a tough call.

I would just move the coral to a mod flow area.

Pipe organ doing good. Duncan that has been doing good. Zoas that are good and had a gonipora that bleached a little. To high up on ricks to light and one anemone.

Give it some time after you move it to lower flow, it may take a day or two. Torches are slow to inflate their tentacles every day, anyways.

Ok so came home from work this morning and move the torch to lower flow area and towards bottom of tank. When I moved it and changed direction of coral it seemed to release something like it was smoking??? Very fine not thick but the head had kind of a slime around it? Is it start of brown jelly? If so how contagious?

Nope that is waste or expelling of zooxanthellae. I am curious to see how it looks now.

It looks pretty good. Tissue looks solid. I think it was just a flow issue. I have a hammer and a frog spawn that are happy and healthy. I keep the hammer on the sand and the frog spawn low on the rocks. Looks like a good spot you have it on now. GL

I have had good luck with mine along the bottom corners of my tank. They get moderate flow, and a little lower lighting. My hammer has added 4 heads in the last 6 months.
