I have my first trachyphyllia and was wondering if this looks ok? As I'm new to these species, My lights are ramping down at the time of the photo.

It's in a low flow, sand bed position not in the shade exactly but not directly under a LED puck.

Looks alright to me, It may still be getting used to its new home. Give it a couple of days and it should start to look normal :)

Im in the UK and paid £55, I could have had one a lot bigger for slightly more money at a different store, but this store only supplies corals and does not sell or keep fish.

Thought I would update the thread, She's settled in nicely, nice and plump most of the time,

Just feed the tank, so the tentacles are out. Don't suppose anyone knows the type of trachy it is? As I understand there are a few different sub specie types
