Hi all I will be upgrading soon few months away from a 210 to a 320 gallon tank. I need more room front to back for coral space. It is a higher end LPS tank (maybe SPS in future). Two questions:

I would like to go bare bottom this time around but was wondering if that would absolutely prohibit any coral species. I currently have pretty much all species of LPS and I would hate to limit myself going forward. I know advantages and disadvantages of both but was wondering more about a coral focus.

Second question any transfer tips? I plan on using most of my old water, rock and my sump is large enough for the increase in tank size.

Early merry Xmas and New year to everyone!

I did a big tank swap years ago and changed to bare bottom. I would slowly remove your sand bed over the next several months vs. moving everything over - sand bed. good luck with new tank.
