New VS Used Neptune Trident Purchase

Hello All!

Just wanted to see what other people’s thoughts are on buying a used trident vs new. I am definitely getting one soon but trying to see if it is worth getting a new one or saving some money. Whats your thoughts?

If its your first you might want to consider new as you will have the warranty for 1yr. Used you never know if they shut down properly to drain lines. If you are unfamiliar with how to take it apart and flush the lines.

Id go used, mine was $350 and I figured if it did need service for $199 I'd still be ahead of buying a new one.

Biog tank purchases such as this, I always look for used. Not only is it a luxury item, but you gain nothing other then a 1 year warranty over used.

I also don't mind having to DIY a little (clean it up, do the yearly maintenance they suggest, etc) on used equipment.

Depends on if you feel comfortable taking it apart to clean it.
