I have a skimmer that I used for my 75g setup. That was over 8 years ago and I do not remember the name of it. Well after pulling it out of storage I am missing the water pump and the connection hose from the pump to the skimmer. I was wondering if anyone can ID it for me or if there's a way to replace the connection hose. It used a screw on connector.

Based on my research it appears this is a Das EX-1 Recirculation Protien skimmer

I will also note I could not find the feed pump but think it is the same as the recirc pump but honestly the connector looks like a standard pvc union fitting you can get at your local home depot. You would only need the side with the bulkhead type fitting. From there get any pump you want for the feed pump and adapt it to fit. Or I have my recirc skimmer plumed to my over in which case you would not need a feed pump at all.

Thanks a ton bobman. When you say you have it plumbed in what do you mean?

That top connection goes to a feed pump. Assuming it is in your sump means you have an overflow so instead of using a feed pump you can plumb the overflow to the skimmer. Just got to make sure the skimmer can handle the amount of flow going through the overflow. I have my skimmer setup that way so 100% of my water that goes through he overflow goes into my skimmer before going to the sump

Oh okay. I understand now.
