I have a baseline of saltwater tanks from years ago and decided to jump back in. A long time ago I tried to use my basic experience to upgrade to a larger (14g -> 28g) custom tank. But I was way ill prepared for that. And it was a bust. I've trolled the sites until I recently came across Waterbox and felt I would finally get what I originally wanted from their 35g system.

As part of the set I ordered the basics - light, pump, rock and heater. But please help me decide what I should do for filtration. I was thinking adding a marine plate or cubes. I was thinking about trying chaeto this time (but maybe it's too soon) and what that would entail. Carbon filtration still?

I have a lot of time to plan for this. Tank comes soon. And I'll cycle for at least one month.

Thank you.

PS, does anyone on here own this tank?

no but i do own 100.3 water box, I wouldn't do anything crazy specially its a new tank. I would let your tank run its course and stick with items that came with the tank. just make sure you have a quality equipment such as skimmer ect. and specially lighting, then worry about the rest later once you get corals and fish in.

Sure, but I'd much rather have a refugium over a skimmer. And I'm going to need some form of filtration. Long term. What have you added to your sump at this point? Thank you.
