I have new windows and a new grand entryway slated for install sometime around Dec/Jan. My question is, what advice would you guys/gals have for me in order to protect my tanks? I have a reefer xl425 and a Biocube 32. My initial thought were to run carbon on both while covering the reefer with a tarp(?) or something of that nature. Any advice is appreciated!

What's your worry? I can only think of temperature swing and dust.

For temp, perhaps have another heater handy in case yours can't keep up.

For recent drywall sanding in my house we covered the whole setup with sheet of poly like the ones painters use to protect furniture.

I painted the room too and used a tiny bag of carbon in case anything got absorbed into the tank. Fish didnt look high, maybe because we used low-voc paint :)

During construction, I always covered the front and side of my setup with a pink foam sheet to protect against accidental bumps.

Hope this helps.

What would be your concerns?
If it's dust, maybe put a loose blanket over the top with a little room for ventilation and keep heat from building up.

Cover tank with moving blankets or even thermal blanket. Also tape 8hr foot warmers to all 4 sides of the tank

Yea, so dust and temp are my only concerns tbh. I was just concerned that I may be missing something I haven't thought of. Thanks for the input!
