It's safe to say environmental news has been somewhat of a drag recently — between ongoing droughts, storms, and wildfires — though it's always promising to hear that a new species was discovered. Recently, in the waters surrounding the beautiful Maldives, a new fish called the rose-veiled fairy wrassewas officially discovered. Not only is it absolutely gorgeous, boasting an eye-catching array of colors, but it's also a scientific phenomenon.
Depths of 131-299. (40 to 70 meters)

Oh wow, that sure is a beauty! I like hearing about new species being found but what I like more is hearing that what were thought to be recently extinct species being found again. We need more of that.

I concur. From the reading it stated they thought it was one they found back 1990 but it was a completely new species

I've read a few articles where some creatures are being reclassified as new. I'm not sure if they made the determination through DNA or whether they got around to doing an indepth study and discovered something different about them.

I wouldn't say that its a whole new species, it has been properly identified.

+1 to this, it has been sold in the hobby as its relative C. rubrisquamis in the past. The price will only rise IF they’re hunted for more.

This is most likely a mature female but without knowing Actual Size I couldn’t tell you.
