X2Hiding in the sand is completely normal for this fish. Usually they pop up in a day or two, but in some cases can be buried for as long as a month. Don't worry about it. And whatever you do, don't go digging around for it.
This happened to me a couple months ago when I added a new wrasse. After two weeks I thought he was dead and he finally came out a month and a half later during "normal hours". He was coming out before the lights came on and picking at the rocks and diving back in the sand when the lights came on, only staying out for maybe 1-2 hours at a time. So if you haven't already you might want to check when the lights are off as well.
Wow a month and a half tho [emoji85]. Do you think it was eating when u fed the tank? If not how did it stay alive so long omg. I guess after a week or so ill start checking right before the lights come on. Thnks for your info
