We will be hosting a New Years Eve Party and wanted to invite everybody.

Can't really call it a NARC meeting since there will be 6 non-reefers there not including Christie and our two lovely kids Tornado and Destruction.

Let me know if you would like to attend so we can get a head count. Will determine what were having once we know around how many people are going to come.

with one DD you have no need for a cab..... Can I bring my destructive tornado with me and my little girl? If so what do I need to bring?

If you want to get some responses you'll have to offer free stuff then more people will chime in or decide to come.LOL

Sorry if I worded that wrong.Thats what I get for not being properly medicated before typing.LOL

You didn't word it wrong. At this point there are over 100 views with one confirmation. Either way it goes I'm going to have a good time New Years Eve.

I hope everyone does.I am not even sure I can stay up that late anymore.Must be getting old.Hows your tank doing?

Tank is doing pretty good. I'm learning that a reef tank is kinda like a boat.... It will eat as much money as you are willing to put into it. I need to update the build thread.

Skimmer has been upgraded from a CSS 125 to SWC 180 Cone with a White Lighting penwheel.
Ballast has been upgraded from Magnetic to Electronic.
RO system has been upgraded from Maxxima HI-S to a custom one that I built. The output from the custom one is amazing.
Chaeto is now able to out compete the algae in the tank. Coraline algae is finally taking off, thanks to Mikes quick tip.

Just trying to learn as much about this as I can and happy that everything is starting to come together and becoming stable. Currently I am trying to research and understand why the water parameters do what they do. For example one week I may have to dose Alk from 8-10 DKH and Calcium has not moved. This may go on for 2 or 3 weeks and then it will switch over to not using Alk at all and having to dose a lot of Calcium. Then there may be a week where I have to does both. I suspect this is due to Reef Crystals salt, but haven't proved it.

The clowns that I got from you are doing good. I switched over to Rods food and everybody in the tank really appreciates it.

Thats about it
Thanks for asking

I was having the same problem you are talking about. I now use Reefcrystals mixed 50/50 with Corallife salt. My parameters stay spot on now. Well except for my PH but thats just due to excess build up of CO2 in the house this time of year!

Thanks Dave, I have been thinking about doing a 50/50 mix for a couple of weeks now. Thanks for the tip.

Y'all all have a good time and remember, don't drink and drive! You'll spill your drink! :amazed:

Happy New Year to the whole gang! :haha:

Thanks Harry. The only people that are coming from NARC are Mike and Dani. Its too bad this hasn't turned out to be a hit.

Well, Harry I didn't go....

Kyleigh has been sick with a 100-103 degree fever for since X-Mas and we had to go to the ER yesterday due to the vomiting. We had been fighting a upper respiratory infection, double ear infection and a sinus infection. The good news is she got some great drugs to knock it out and her fever has broke, so now we are waiting for her to get hungry again and we will know that she is good to go.

Dani had to go to the ER on X-Mas eve due to being pulled into the neighbors deck and had to get 8 stitches in her eye brow and two in her lip. I am just wondering what I am going to get, as we know it all happens in three's and it looks as if I am next.
