We are bringing home a new yellow eyed kole in the next few days. He has been in quarantine in the fish store for one month - by himself for two weeks. He has been treated with copper and praxipro. We have a 75 gal quarantine tank that is well establish but has no algae and a 300 gal display tank with plenty of algae 6 green chromis and a foxface. We wonder if the kole would do better put directly into display. Should we risk it?

I would'nt, you can feed the kole tang a variety of foods and not worry about over feeding causing nutrient issues whilst in qt

I wouldn't risk it either. I lost $400+ dollars worth of fish after adding a Kole Tang w/o quarantining. He was skittish, never settled down, and after 2 days, we noticed it had ich. Within 2 weeks, all my fish were dead :( Had to go fallow for 6 weeks before slowly restocking. I never added a fish without a quarantine. Even though they "quarantined" at your LFS, how do you know their system was ich free?
