Hay!
So, bought a frag with about 12 pods from the only place in Hawai’i that sails them. Unfortunately..... the pet store tanks have aiptasha in all there coral tanks. We did our best to pic one with nothing on it. Few days later we seen a aiptasha the size of a eyelash.. we orderd meds. BUT by the time we got them we already added a whitelined butterfly whitch are I I think... then they closed!!!! For days! White stuff grew in between them. We took them out and did a 30sec FW rinse (now I know it’s few mins) Ans took tweezers and paintbrush to them. There was like a hard black rock thing growing in the back we picked that off... the white stuff to our surprise was hard... we could tray get it off. (Maybe glue?)
There Realy fat still and over those issues, I could Bairly see bright orange in the eye!!!! I’ve moved them way higher up and in the current they seem to want to open but not all the way yet... the top frags are closer to water flow seem slight bit more open. So I got glue today to put them in a way more water flow area.... ima post a bunch of pics I’m order of our progress. If I’m missing something please help. Thinking about grabbing peppermint shrimp today Ans revive dip just to help

You put it under a ton of stress especially since you just got it and fresh water dip could possibly kill it as you did then frequently. I would leave it alone and see if it comes back

How did I do anything when it closed befor I touched it??? It was doing bad for 5 days befor I touched it. So taking to our and doing a cleaning in 15 mins and back into the tank(with result of opening up a lil) how did I do anything negative?

We have had him lil over 3 weeks

I'm a little bit confused but from what I understand you did all that to try to get rid of the aiptasia?

Aiptasia cannot be killed with coral dips or freshwater dips. You must manually remove them or get some kind of predator to eat it.

Also I would not recommend freshwater dipping any corals. You can and will kill corals doing that.
Zoa's are low to mid flow corals as well so putting them up top in high light and high flow probably doesn't help with getting them to open up.

Is your butterflyfish nipping at the zoa's? Butterflyfish aren't normally reef safe either.
