New Zoas look weird - not opening

So I got 4 new zoa frags ordered from online and I noticed it looked a little weird think it might just be mad from not being in a tank for a while. So I acclimated them and dipped them and put them in my tank. It’s been 3 days and 3 of the 4 zoas show no signs of opening at all and look weird to me like a white film is covering them. One of them show a little bit of opening but haven’t fully opened at all. Are they sick? Dying? Dead already? I’m not sure what’s wrong with them. My other zoa I’ve had for a while is fine and opens fully and occasionally closes when my clown fish touches it because I think he’s trying to host in it or something. Any ideas? Of how to help it or what’s wrong with it?

I wish I knew what to tell you. I've had some zoa colonies for months that refuse to open (but they're still alive). Others right beside them are totally fine, so go figure.

I guess I’ll just leave them be then maybe they’ll open up eventually :/

Focus on your tank stability (water parameters, salinity, temperature, flow, lighting) and they should eventually come around.

I just checked everything and everything is fine exactly calcium is a little low so tomorrow I’ll get something to at at t dosing it. Other than that everything is fine.

Are they all in a similar spot of the tank? I had some under low light and flow and would not open. Moved them to the top of the tank under high light and they are thriving.

Really? Well the one I had for a while is pretty much on the bottom and it’s fine but the rest of them I got new are all right by it and won’t open. I’ll move one up and see if it improves.

Avoid the temptation to change things. Place them where you want them and leave them alone!!

One of the biggest problems most newer reefers encounter is impatience. We all want that outstanding reef we see pictures and videos of.

Funny thing is, Mother nature hasn't seen those pics/ vids.. Like most women, she does what she does when she wants... period.

When she is ready, she will open up your zoas. I wouldn't worry unless you see that they are actually dyeing.
