newb question from a not so newb

My power just flickered which turned my pump on and then off. When it kicked on, a TON of stuff shot into my tank. It didnt cloud the water, it looked like I put about 10 cubes of mysis in the tank. It's pure white but doesnt seem to be bothering anything. I'm assuming that the sudden stop and go of water in the lines created pressure to release this stuff from the inside of the PVC, Im just curious as to what it is. Any info?

It may have been some calcium build up particles in your pipes. I've had it to happen in the past. I don't think you'll need to worry about it though.
