Newb with question on sump & tank plumbing

I have a 75g rectangle tank and have constructed a 20g sump. I have drilled the tank for a 32“ weir across the back of the tank which has two 1.5 inch bulkheads feeding the weir. The weir has three 1” drains supporting a bean animal system. In the sump I have an adjustable flow Jabao DCP 10000 return pump.
Question: since the weir has 1” drains can I use 1 inch bulkheads & return lines to both sides of the back of the tank....or should I use .75 inch bulkheads and piping for returns?

Looking for feedback before drilling the return holes in the tank.

Normally return pipe = 50% drain pipe.
And how do you plan on using those 3x 1" drain pipe? Is it gonna be a herbie, which is one pipe as main drain, one pipe as secondary drain and third one is emergency drain.

I suggest that your main drain pipe goes to one end of the sump to sock and then skimmer.
And the secondary drain with gate valve to the other end of the sump to refugium.
That skimmer chamber will go to return chamber in the middle and also overflow from refugium chamber goes to that return chamber in the middle. So the emergency drain pipe goes to this return chamber. My personal preference, I don't want overflow from refugium gets skimmed out but goes directly to DT, that's why I suggest that mechanical filtration (sock/skimmer) from one side of the sump and biological filtration (refugium) from other side of the sump meet up in the middle in the return chamber.

Your return line could be 2 x 0.5" (one for each side).
