Hello,
I'm looking for some opinions/advise on a final fish for a 30 gallon AIO which has been running for just over 4 months, 1-1.5" deep sandbed .
Current stock:
- 2x Oscellaris Clownfish
- 1x Royal Gramma
- 1x Cleaner Shrimp
- 1x Fire Shrimp
- 7x Misc snails (trochus, turbo & nassarius)
- 4x Halloween Hermit Crabs (currently small, bigger shells have already been purchased)
So far all inhabitants have been playing nicely together baring the odd occasion when the Clownfish chose to investigate the Royal Gramma's hideout. Clownfish have been pretty placid and spend most of the time swimming along together until feeding time when it becomes a free for all. I have always been drawn more towards inverts and corals but I'm now considering adding an additional fish or 2 pending size, compatibility, temperament etc before i start adding soft corals. My only concern is that my current fish are all considered "semi-aggressive"and are all settled in the tank.
I'm lucky enough to have numerous LFS near both where i live and work, each advised/suggested various options (some sensible, some ludicrous) but all livestock is purchased from the same LFS whom always appear to have a good variety and have always sold me healthy livestock. I have considered numerous fish, I'm currently drawn towards:
- Purple or Red Firefish
- Midas Blenny
- Watchman Goby
- Lawnmower Blenny
LFS Suggestions included:
- Cherub Angelfish
- Pink Scooter Blenny
- Peacock Wrasse
(multiple LFS have suggested these fish and say 30 gallon is fine, I've since done some research but I'm not convinced its my tank is big enough/suitable)
