Hi everyone, really excited to be here and get as much advice and tips as possible and be told where I'm going wrong!!! Just got a Juwel Rio 240 litre at the discount price of £300 1 month old with juwel seaskimmer and internal filter/heater (internal filter has pads and carbon bits?) and fluval 306 external (which has live rock rubble, rowaphos, carbon bits? and some wool stuff?) i know it may not be amazing but it's a start! Have also purchased maxspect gyre xf230 and set tank up today with 22kg of live rock and filled up with 50% mature water and 50% RO from local marine shop Setup and bedded with 1 inch of coral sand. Has a few bits of coral on live rock, mushroom and Kenya tree. Pic is on profile. Can anybody give me any idea how I'm doing please??? Many thanks everyone. Oh yeah gonna wait till maybe beginning of December and add a cleaning crew then maybe some fish in new year, does that sound ok????

Welcome! Make sure you start a thread in the members reef area for people to check out and you might get more comments on your setup. That thread is an excellent place to start though, definitely give it a good couple read throughs

Welcome! You'll really enjoy all the info here! As far as your question seems like a good start for filtration. Seems a little early for corals yet most like to let a tank cycle add cuc, fish and then corals once you have established corraline algae growth. That being said Kenya trees and mushies are very forgiving and might make it through . this is the place to come to get all the info you need!! Good luck, happy reefing!
